Gardening Talks with David Hurrion

For garden clubs, societies and groups across the UK, I offer informative, practical and entertaining talks drawn from more than fifty years of gardening, horticultural training, and a career writing and broadcasting about plants. Each talk is tailored to your group and delivered in person, to inform and entertain in equal measure. Choose from my established range of talks (I’ll provide the full list once you’re happy with the fee), or ask about a bespoke subject for your members.

Who the talks are for

My talks suit any group that enjoys gardening, from experienced plantspeople to members who are just starting out.

  • Garden clubs and gardening societies
  • Horticultural societies and allotment associations
  • WI and U3A groups
  • Community, village and charity groups

What’s included and fees

Talks start at £350, which covers pre-talk preparation, travel time, an hour’s presentation and a questions-and-answers session at the end. Return mileage to your venue is charged at 55p per mile.

I travel from Dorset, so for venues further afield the distance can affect the cost, and where the journey means an overnight stay is needed, hotel costs are added. I’ll always confirm the full cost with you when we arrange the date.
